This policy explains what DueDatez ("we", "us") collects when you use duedatez.online, why, and what control you have. We have tried to write it in plain language rather than legalese, because a policy nobody can read protects nobody.
The short version
1. Who we are
DueDatez is an independent website operated at duedatez.online, publishing free pregnancy-related calculators and explanatory articles. For any privacy question or request, contact privacy@duedatez.online or use the contact form.
2. Calculator data
All three calculators — due date, ovulation and pregnancy week — run entirely client-side. When you enter a date and press calculate, the arithmetic happens in your browser and the result is written directly into the page. No network request is made. No copy is kept. Closing or refreshing the tab discards everything.
This is a deliberate design decision. Reproductive health data is among the most sensitive categories of personal information there is, and the safest way to protect it is to never receive it.
3. Information you choose to give us
If you use the contact form or email us directly, we receive your name, email address, chosen subject and message. We use it only to reply to you and to act on what you have raised. We do not add contact-form addresses to any mailing list, and we do not share them with third parties. Messages are retained only as long as needed to resolve the matter, then deleted.
4. Information collected automatically
Like almost every website, our hosting provider records standard server logs when a page is requested: IP address, browser user-agent, the page requested, referring page and timestamp. These are used for security, diagnosing faults and understanding traffic volume, and are retained for a limited period before deletion.
We may use a privacy-respecting analytics service to count visits and see which pages are read. Where analytics are used, they measure aggregate traffic patterns and are not used to build a profile of you as an individual.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
You will have seen the cookie banner at the bottom of the page. Here is precisely what sits behind it.
| Type | Purpose | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Remembering your light/dark theme choice and your response to the cookie banner. Stored in your browser's local storage, not sent anywhere. | No |
| Analytics | Counting page views and understanding which articles are read. | Yes |
| Advertising | Serving ads and, where you have consented, making them more relevant. Set by advertising partners. | Yes |
If you decline, non-essential cookies are not set. You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser, which makes the banner appear again. Browser settings also let you block or delete cookies entirely; the calculators will continue to work normally if you do.
6. Advertising
This site is supported by display advertising, which may include Google AdSense and other third-party networks. These partners may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads.
Where you have consented to advertising cookies, partners may use information about your visits to this and other sites to show ads relevant to your interests. Google's use of advertising cookies is governed by its own policies, and you can control personalised advertising through Google's Ads Settings and through the industry opt-out pages operated by the Network Advertising Initiative and the Digital Advertising Alliance.
To be explicit: advertising partners have no access to anything you enter into a calculator, because that information never leaves your browser. They cannot see your period dates, cycle length or due date.
7. Children
This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that threshold). If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or similar laws, including the right to:
- ask what personal data we hold about you
- request correction of inaccurate data
- request deletion of your data
- object to or restrict certain processing
- withdraw consent for cookies at any time
- lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
In practice, the only personal data we are ever likely to hold is a contact-form message. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@duedatez.online. We respond within 30 days.
9. Legal basis for processing
Where the GDPR applies: contact-form messages are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to enquiries; analytics and advertising cookies are processed on the basis of your consent; server logs are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in site security and reliability.
10. Data security and transfers
The site is served over HTTPS. Because calculator inputs never leave your device, the most sensitive category of information on this site is never at risk in transit or at rest. Our hosting and email providers may process data in countries outside your own; where that happens it is under the safeguards those providers maintain. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we have deliberately minimised what there is to protect.
11. Links to other sites
Where we link to external organisations, those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for their practices. Please read their policies before providing information to them.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes affecting how we handle personal information will be flagged prominently on the site. Continuing to use DueDatez after a change means you accept the updated policy.
13. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: privacy@duedatez.online, or through the contact form.
